Girl Scouts of River Bluffs Council Camp Butterfly Hours of Operation |
Hello!...to all individuals who will be using Camp Butterfly,
Hours of operation are 8:00 am-9:00 pm, daily.
If your reservation states that you are to arrive at noon (for example), you will be expected then and you will find the camp entrance gate unlocked. If you arrive early or late without notifying John Bader, [the Camp Ranger] you will find the gate locked when you arrive.
If you arrive after 9pm, you will not be checked-in by the Camp Ranger until the following day. Do not contact the Camp Ranger and expect him to open the gate for you after 9pm. You must contact the Ranger the next day and make arrangements with him for admission to the camp and check-in.
While at Camp Butterfly, you are free to come & go as you please between the hours of 8am – 9pm. You will either be provided keys to the camp gate [by the Camp Ranger] or he will be locking/unlocking the camp gate for you.
Plan ahead. Before you depart for Camp Butterfly make sure you …
* know your route to camp
* have the camp phone number [1-573-756-2505] with you
* will arrive on time or contact the Ranger otherwise
If you are given camp keys, make sure the camp gate is locked at all times. Do not assume that someone else locked the gate. As the “person-in-charge”, you are responsible for securing the gate.
Be alert and pay attention to the whereabouts of members of your troop, neighborhood, or group.
