How does a stable make this list? Each stable on this list has sent a copy of their $1,000,000 liability insurance certificate and has passed a walk through inspection by the Outdoor Program Manager. Taking your troop horseback riding? Review Safety-Wise for requirements and please note that not all of these sites are prepared to provide helmets for troops. Helmets can be borrowed from the service center. Troops are responsible for providing their own first aid kit and a certified first aider at all stables. Call ahead for a session that deals with a particular Try-It, badge or IP patch.

Some of the stables require that a waiver be signed by a parent for their daughter to participate. When setting up your riding session be sure and request these ahead of time so they can be attached to the parent permission slip.
