Camp Resources
You’ve planned your campout, but you aren’t sure how to keep your girls entertained and interested without their IPODS and DVDs? Try some of the activities listed below for a fun filled weekend or overnight!
Looking for a lifeguard, or archery, canoe, sail, or rock climbing instructors? Check out the OAR Program for a guaranteed and certified instructor at your campout! (link to OAR program brochure)
Want to earn a Try It, badge or IP while camping out? Try a Discovery Kit, which has all you need to put on your own program to help your troop earn their award or patch. (link to Discovery Kit page) Deposit Required
The Bird Watching Kit is available for checkout, and includes binoculars, bird ID books, posters and a CD. Tip: Use the binoculars for animal watching during the day, and moon crater gazing at night! Deposit Required
Also, requisition one of the kits available at camp:
Wanda – scavenger hunts, ecology games, and more (link to Wanda Activity Guide)
Shirley – scavenger hunts, tree games and more (link to Shirley Activity Guide)
Gertrude – scavenger hunts, animal match up, experiments and more (link to Gertrude Activity Guide)
Skit Box – let your troop be crazy and creative around the campfire or after dinner (Can help you earn your Let’s Pretend Try It!). This has all you need to put on skits – costumes, props, and a skit list. Just add creativity and energy! (Link to Skit Guide)
