Effingham Academy of Gymnastics

Jump into a great gymnastic program this June and July as we bring your troop the opportunity to participate in one of two Saturday sessions in Effingham, Illinois. You’ll have the opportunity to do the following and complete our Gymnastic Activity Patch or use the session to complete requirements for Try-It or other badge work.

Swing on our Bars, float on a Balance Beam, Vault to new heights, and flip on our Spring Floor. You’ll learn about 4 different types of gymnastic events, Balance Beam, Uneven Bars, Floor, and Vault. A little stretching and warm-up exercises with a Junior Olympic Gold Medalist will begin your session. During your session you can expect to do forward rolls, cartwheels, leaps, chasse’, walk on the balance beam, swing on the uneven bars, run and jump off a vaulting spring board, and even the basics of how to do a back-handspring. Wow! Wear comfortable clothing and socks or bare feet! NO tennis shoes!

Sessions will be held on June 7th and July 12th. A min. of 10 girls/ max. of 20 per session will provide plenty of attention from the staff for the girls and the activities.

Check your desired day and time and come have fun! Confirmation letters will include directions, parent waivers, and any important information. No tag-alongs due to space limitations. Adults are free, but please follow Safety-Wise ratios for driving. Bring permission and health forms to this event. Troops will be responsible for providing their own first aid as no first aider will be on site.
