Girl Leadership Program Senior Girl Scout Troop Assistant (S.G.S.T.A.) |
The Senior Girl Scout Troop Assistant (S.G.S.T.A.) is an extension of the L.I.T. and girls must have completed the L.I.T. program to be eligible. There is not a separate training. This program allows girls to continue working with a troop/group, while expanding their leadership capabilities. Girls MUST commit for at least one full year to complete this program. With this program, girls will have the opportunity to exercise leadership skills, engage in public speaking in a group setting, gain a more comprehensive understanding of Girl Scouting, and recognize the challenges and rewards of working with younger girls on a long-term basis.
Prior to their one year commitment, girls must find a troop/group to work with (this can be the same troop the girl worked with in her L.I.T. hours, but it does not have to be.) The girl and the leader will then fill out the Adult Agreement form and submit it to the Program Manager. They then can begin working with their chosen troop/group and logging their hours. At the end of the year commitment, girls will turn in their Leadership Log Hours, the Girl Evaluation, and the Adult Evaluation to the Program Manager. They will then earn their S.G.S.T.A. pin.
All paperwork can be mailed to:
