Sewing Machines for Troop Programs

The Council has 5 sewing machines that were donated from the Home Sewing Association available to troops for working on sewing programs.  Troops will need to reserve the machines and a conference room at the Service Center to use the sewing machines.  The conference room/s is free for day use or $12 for an overnight.  There will be a $2.00 fee for each sewing machine reserved.  The fee for sewing machines is used to keep the machines in good repair.  Adults will need to have some sewing experience in order to work with their girls.  The Council Library also has a number of Express project booklets along with patterns.  Project books include:  Quilt Quest- projects for sewing quilt squares, Pillow Power – projects for sewing assorted fun pillows, Locker Combination – projects for sewing an organizer for your school locker, Slumber Party – projects for sewing pajama pants, and Flirting w/Fleece – projects for sewing fleece hats and scarves.
