Congratulations - Medal of Honor:

Congratulations to Tehya Lones, from Charleston, IL, for receiving the Medal of Honor, Life Saving Award. The Medal of Honor is a National Girl Scout Award that is given for saving life or attempting to save life without risk to the candidate’s own life.

In the spring, five year old Tehya showed great courage, confidence and character when she found her diabetic c mother unresponsive. Tehya called 911, and then administered oral glucose and served fruit drinks while waiting for the paramedics to arrive. Tehya’s quick thinking saved her mother. Tehya will be a first grade Brownie Girl Scout this fall.

Be sure to check out the program information available in The Compass and The Edge. Both publications will also be on our website soon and list all the program opportunities available for each program level. These two publications will be the main source for new opportunities so be sure to review them.
