Congratulations to Tehya Lones, from Charleston, IL, for receiving the
Medal of Honor, Life Saving Award. The Medal of Honor is a National Girl
Scout Award that is given for saving life or attempting to save life
without risk to the candidate’s own life.
In the spring, five year old Tehya showed great courage, confidence and
character when she found her diabetic c mother unresponsive. Tehya called
911, and then administered oral glucose and served fruit drinks while
waiting for the paramedics to arrive. Tehya’s quick thinking saved her
mother. Tehya will be a first grade Brownie Girl Scout this fall.
