Zink the Zebra

Program Outlines for Daisies, Brownies and Juniors

Check out the new outlines for your program level and complete activities to earn the Zink the Zebra patch along with a small stuffed zebra. The program can be completed over the course of one or two meetings, depending upon the length of the meeting. This patch program has been designed to give girls a sense of awareness of and appreciation for individual differences; foster compassion and respect for others; practice the life skills of positive interaction; and an opportunity for community service.

Cost of the program is $5.75 per girl kit which includes a small stuffed green spotted beanie zebra, coordinating patch, program level outline, a Zink kit with Zink puppet and book and some materials to do this program. If your troop is doing this program at camp, a black and white stuffed Zink and backpack with coordinating patch can be purchased for $6.25. A refundable $20.00 deposit will be needed to reserve the Zink kit. Kits may be checked out for 3 weeks and reservations through the service center need to be made at least 2 weeks in advance of pickup. Additional bars can be earned by completing one more activity under each title Acceptance, Compassion, Respect and Understanding for an additional $2.25 per patch.
