Remember the OAR program this summer!

for a daytime or campout activity at ChanYaTa, Torqua, Wassatoga, or Butterfly. We can do Try-It or badge activities, go swimming, sailing, canoeing, hiking and more! Learn a new skill this summer and impress your friends with stories when you go back to school!

Camping out this summer and want to do some night sky viewing?

Check out the SPACE Kit, a Discovery MEGA kit from the Service Center or by contacting Emily Stanley. Learn about the stars and planets that are visible and identify satellites, constellations or even the space station. Instructions are included to help you operate the telescope that comes with the kit, along with a weekly updated list of viewable objects!

Going camping this summer?

You can earn the Summer Fun Patch! The report form may also be found  in the Compass and Edge. New patches are available every year.

Make your campout more fun with Summer Fun!

Here’s a fun fact – did you know that the James Webb Space Telescope, set to launch in 2013, will have "Go Girl Scouts!" engraved on its base? One of the engineers working on the project is a Girl Scout!
