Girl Scouts of River Bluffs Council February 2008 Notes to Leaders |
Here’s the latest Buzz…

Become a citizen scientist this spring and check for bees! This website, run by the University of Illinois, asks you to keep track of bees you see. You can even post bee photos you take. If you’ve seen the new "Bee Movie", you know how important these little pollinators are to our environment and our economy!
Speaking of bees…Did you take girls to see the Bee Movie and want a follow up activity? Daisy leaders can check out the Busy Bees Discovery Kit from the council library and help girls learn about these exciting creatures. Brownie and Junior leaders can check out the Bug Box, a Discovery MEGA kit from the library as well. These kits are perfect for troops with mixed program levels, since almost everything you need for the activity is included in the kit!
For more information about these and other Discovery Kits/Resource Kits, contact Emily Stanley, Outdoor Program Manager at 618-692-0692 ext 111 (800-345-6858) or estanley@riverbluffs.org
