World Thinking Day 2008

World Thinking Day is February 22, 2008. This year’s theme is caring for the environment with an emphasis on water, one of the most important natural resources impacting the lives of girls and women worldwide. Girls can work towards the Water Drop Patch, Water Everywhere Try-It, the Eco-Action badge, the Eco-Action IP, Build a Better Future IP, and Global Girls IP. For additional ideas check out the Water Resources page at www.girlscouts.org/world_thinking_day.

Are you planning a Thinking Day celebration with an international flair? Check out the revised "Friendship Kit" for ideas and activities from around the world. This kit is designed to compliment any friendship activity, and encourages Daisies, Brownies and Juniors to think about themselves, their friends and the world around them. Check out this cool kit from the service center for just a $10 deposit and a $5 fee.

For more information about these and other Discovery Kits/Resource Kits, contact Emily Stanley, Outdoor Program Manager at 618-692-0692 ext 111 (800-345-6858) or estanley@riverbluffs.org
