Girl Scouts Go Green-er! (Information & Participation/Patch Order Forms)
Spring 2008 Council-Wide Community Service Project - April 20, 2008

To celebrate Earth Day on April 20, 2008, we want all Girl Scouts in River Bluffs to participate in a community service project that is earth friendly. It is our hope that our 10,000 girls will join together on that day to make our world a better place. This is a great opportunity to promote environmental needs and become good stewards of our planet. Talk to your girls about being responsible citizens, how it is important to use our resources wisely and then TAKE ACTION!
The deadline to submit participation and patch order forms is May 1, 2008. This is a firm deadline.
Additional Resources…….
(Yes, we know that Earth Day is April 22, not April 20. However, the official Earth Day site is celebrating on Sunday, April 20th. Yes, this project is flexible and if it would be better for the troop to do something on a different day then please plan to do so. While it would be awesome to have the full impact of almost 10,000 Girl Scouts working on a community service project together on 1 day, in reality we know that this might not be possible. Flexibility is the key. We care more about the project and the girls participating and learning from this than the actual day that this is accomplished.)
