Outstanding Bad Check Summary

Summer Outreach:  Girl Scout program may be coming your way this summer! The membership staff is planning summer outreach programs in designated areas. Summer outreach gives girls who may not have had the opportunity to be a Girl Scout to become a member and join in on the fun! These programs will vary in length and time but will all have one thing in common – LOTS OF FUN! Each program will include a curriculum chosen to appeal to a wide age range and offer girls a Girl Scout foundation. Programs will be running in O’Fallon and Alton but are open to girls anywhere in the council jurisdiction.

If you are interested in volunteering to help with these outreach programs please contact Lacey Sonderegger at 618.692.0692 or lsonderegger@riverbluffs.org

Chaperoning adults are role models.

As every troop leader knows you must have parent support when on a field trip. Not only are they needed as drivers but also to meet Safety-Wise ratios on girl/adult supervision. But as we also know parents aren’t always in tune to our standards for behavior while serving as a chaperone on these outings. It has been brought to our attention that some parents have been smoking if front of the girls while serving in this capacity. It is up to leaders to let parents know that this behavior is not suitable while supervising or working with our girls and to please ask them to put it out. We realize all the

attention leaders already have to give to their girls and that it can be daunting to also have to supervise parents but we appreciate your diligence in helping our girls to have a healthy and safe environment.

19th Annual Girl Scout Golf Tournament:

This year’s Girl Scout Golf Tournament will take place on Monday, May 19th at the beautiful Gateway National Golf Links in Madison, Illinois. Proceeds from the golf tournament help fund programming, volunteer training, camp maintenance, and financial assistance for girls in need. Last year’s event raised $30,000 with the help of our corporate sponsors The Bank of Edwardsville, The Korte Company and Brennan Staffing. A special thanks to Ralph Korte who’s been the Golf Tournament Chair for the past 18 years. If you’re interested in becoming a sponsor, playing in the tournament, or volunteering please contact Pamela Hastings Perlmutter, Development Director, at 618-692-0692 or pperlmutter@riverbluffs.org
